On April 13, the Oaks Building One on Oak Springs Drive in Warrenton was re-dedicated, honoring John S. M. Wayland and late Max Tufts Sr., two of the founders of the Foothills Housing Corporation (originally called the Fauquier Housing Corporation), established in 1970. The Oaks Building One, which provides affordable senior housing, was completed in 1998. Representing his father at the re-dedication ceremony was Max Tufts Jr. (left), and Mr. Wayland. Also present was Mrs. Patricia Barr, whose late husband Bill was also an early director of the corporation. The Oaks Building Two is named in his honor.
